Director Sales Italy
Leading the direct sales efforts in Italy and influencing and informing the sales efforts at Regional Level as they directly impact the Country business, the Sales Director is responsible for securing and increasing revenue, gross margins, profitability and relationships within the national account portfolio and international corporate accounts represented in Italy, as well as ensuring maximization of turnover, being part in the definition of sales strategies, planning processes, coordination and control of sales Key Account, Sales exec. as well as Telesales Team.
Maintaining and seeking to improve the company´s competitive position and profitability through business growth and development. Preparing an annual sales operating plan in line with Hertz´s overall strategy and objectives. Developing and executing the national account and sales plans, and new products for increased market penetration based on market research. Proposing the financial parameters to be met and once approved by the VP Sales Europe, managing the income, expense and investment budget for the area. Leading negotiations for existing accounts and new business, nationally, international and multinational accounts within agreed authority level. Contributing to the maximization of customer satisfaction/loyalty through providing assistance in the pre- and post-sales phases, optimizing communication of the product's characteristic as well as managing second-level complaints within the defined guidelines. Appraising existing sales performance and coordinating marketing and sales efforts to achieve maximum potential through corporate and travel industry partners. Managing and coaching the team members and identifying development needs according to Hertz Corporate standards, ensuring a well trained, focused and motivated workforce periodic reporting on progress. Educational Background: A University or MBA degree, preferably in Economics, Business Management or Business Administration.
Professional Experience: Previous experience in a Sales Management position within the business to business sector with a proven track record in the design of national account strategies, adaptation of process and people management in the consecution of financial and qualitative goals. Experience in cross-border account management within multinational is a plus.
Knowledge: Successful background of 5-8 years in a senior Sales management position. Proven track record working in Sales & Account Management, Sales support and project Management. Fluent in Italian and English, other languages are desirable. Knowledge of automotive and RAC Industry and business dynamics. Knowledgeable and personally skilled in sales techniques and sales training as well as pricing model. Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and networking skills. Demonstrates resourcefulness, maturity and good analytical skills. Good planning, organizing and time management skills. Ability to effectively influence, engage and inspire teams. Business acumen. Passionate about customer service. Willingness to travel. Self-motivated.
