Director, Sourcing Emea

DFS, the industry's 1st end-to-end fueling solution, provides advanced fuel-dispensing equipment, including systems and payment, automatic tank gauging and wet stock-management solutions.
The role is critical in delivering the roadmap of operational excellence in all aspects of the Sourcing function including supplier development, consolidation, performance management as well as significant gains in both productivity and working capital.
**This position may be located in: EMEA (remote based with frequent travels to our Regional office in Dundee and our other offices in EMEA)
Will report to Sr Director Operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
- Work closely with the Director Operations Dundee, Bladel, Grentheville, ATG, LIQAL to create the strategy around all Sourcing activities for the region;
- Provide direct leadership for the team of Sourcing professionals based in Europe, including definition of the team structure, detailing the roles, assessing skills gaps and creating personal development plans.
Inspire and motivate the team to produce a culture of high performance;
- Identify the Sourcing opportunities of the business and create alignment of goals - focus on optimising Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity across the global supply base;
- Engage with New Product Introduction activities to steer key aspects of the projects from concept stage through to market introduction;
- Develop close working relationships with the Supply Chain and Sourcing leaders for each of the DFS EMEA business units, gaining an understanding of the challenges and coordinating joined efforts to achieve sourcing solutions, such as definition of high value approach to make/buy decisions;
- Seek out suppliers with capability in ground-breaking areas to enhance the DFS offering;
- Lead identification of Value-Added Value Engineering opportunities across the DFS product range;
- Represent DFS EMEA on the Global Sourcing Steering committee;
- JOB SPECIFICATIONS: _
- _Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. _
- 10 plus years' experience in a manufacturing/industry environment.
- Business-oriented financial professional.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, proven results orientation and ability to deliver quality, on-time results are key.
