**POSITION OVERVIEW
D&IS Products Safety Team Leader, reports directly to D&IS DC Safety Manager.
As D&IS Products Safety Team Leade collaborate and interface with:
- Program Core team (Program Manager, Product Architect, V&V Architect, and overall Engineering Metiers (Hw, Sw, System, V&V, );
- RAM and Cybersecurity team;
- D&IS Signalling Safety network;
- Customers, Operators, Safety Authorities, Independent Safety Assessors
- External Consultants and Suppliers;
- Tender teams;
**MAIN MISSION
- Manage, perform and ensure the activities related to safety assurance in the Programs of his/her team perimeter
- Deliver safe solutions
- Manage Safety resources (internal SAMs, SAEs) and external resources in skill and quantity (workload and delivery on time)
- Manage budget (program cost)
**RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on product as per Safety process defined in D&IS Signalling Safety Instruction
- Manage the workload of Safety Resources (internal/external) and allocate the resources in accordance to DC budget (firm/tenders)
- Manage/approve QCD commitments for Bids and Development
- Develop and Maintain Safety Resources Skills, manage training and mentoring
- Deploy Safety Process, Method and Tools in accordance to Central rule and Safety Instruction and propose improvements based on REX (Return on Experience)
- Ensure convergence between Program/Products and Projects for safety-related topics (Safety Related Application Conditions, scope, interface, schedule )
- Provide Technical Expertise
- Ensure Customer (internal or external) Safety Acceptance
- Review safety issues and support root cause identification and mitigation measures
- Review/validate all Safety Analysis as per Safety Instruction
- Implement the Safety Management Cycle defined by Safety Directors
- Maintain periodical reporting
**Key Job Authorities and Dimensions
- Safety reference on the related Programs for the Core team, Customer (internal or external) and assessors (internal and external)
- Team management (SAM, SAE, External resources)
- Safety budget responsible
**Performance Measurements
- Respect of KPIs defined by Safety Process
- Respect QCD commitments and OTD/DOT milestones
- Compliance to process (through Inspections, )
- Quarterly Dashboard update support
- Safety Issues management according to Safety process
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (profile)
- Mandatory: Educational Requirements : University Degree level in Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering/Computer science or equivalent)
- Mandatory: English full proficiency in speaking/understanding and reading/writing for technical documentation
- Mandatory: Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge
- Mandatory: Strong experience in team management
- Mandatory: Mastering full engineering cycle (from specification to validation tasks) and related interactions
- Mandatory: Mastering Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, European TSI, etc ) and safety methodology & concepts/principles
- Mandatory: Working experience in safety assurance for SIL products (5 years) and Team management consolidated experience

- Structured and organized; Proactive behavior; Sense of anticipation and urgency
- Leadership, Management of crisis, Resilient (to pressure, to last minutes deliveries, to manage urgently safety issues
- Team management, ability to allocate/drive activities and manage priorities.
Ability to support the team in case of "no go" when needed and to support/elaborate improvement plan/solution
