About The Role: We are looking for a pro-active, highly motivated, and result-oriented Underwriter to join the D&O team within Corporate Solutions in Milan. This is an underwriting position for someone with a minimum of three years of specific previous experience, preferably in an international insurance company. The core focus is on contributing to the underwriting of D&O transactions as a (primary domestic or multinational and excess) direct insurer and to profitably grow the Italian book of business. Your main tasks will be: Generating new business opportunities by leveraging broker contacts. Analyzing and assessing the technical insurability in respect of exposures and coverages. Reviewing cover structures, wordings, proposals, and preparing quotations. Developing a thorough understanding of the client's requirements and expectations. Participating in discussions and negotiations with Brokers, existing and new Customers. Contributing to project work, working in international deal teams, and accepting special assignments as required. About You: • Minimum of a university degree or equivalent (preferably in economics or finance) • Good English language proficiency (B2 or higher preferred) • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently • Good negotiation and analytical skills • Strong IT skills • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Good organizational and time management skills • Team player, open-minded • Willingness to travel For Italy, the base salary range for this position is between 44, 000 EUR and 73, 000 EUR for a full-time role. The specific salary offered considers: the requirements, scope, complexity, and responsibilities of the role, the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills, and experience. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
