DRILLER

As part of NextGeo's continuous expansion, we have recently invested in our own drill ship and

drilling rig and are therefore looking for an autonomous, experienced, and professional driller.

We offer exciting projects (primarily in the Mediterranean, Baltic and North Sea), an extremely

**Main responsibilities will include operating the drilling equipment in line with project scope of

**works and NextGeo's procedures.

This will include but is not limited to:

- Working with the Rig Manager to assist with post analysis reviews of critical actions and

implementing ongoing best practice activities for future operations

- Ensuring the safety of the drill crew and all support personnel working in and about the drill

floor

- Overseeing proper rig up and rig down, continual preventive maintenance and repair of the

equipment used in the drilling operations along with ensuring continual cleaning and

housekeeping in and about the drill floor

- Fulfilling the driller log

- Together with the Rig Manager, continually training and developing employees working on

the drilling rig so as to meet the employees' career goals while at the same time meeting the

needs of the company

- Monitoring the progress of the drilling operation, determining when bits need to be changed

while operating

- Adjusting mud pumps to maintain the proper circulation rate and advise how and when the

mud mix needs to be changed in density and weight

- Ensuring accurate pipe tallies are kept

- Ensuring 'red-zone' policy is adhered to

- Demonstrate the ability to operate the rig utilising rig controls while monitoring operation of

various equipment (pump pressures, weight indicator, drill string weight)

- Demonstrate knowledge of drilling rig equipment capacities and functionalities including but

not limited to foremost top drives, compensator units, draw works

- Demonstrate the ability to perform basic math functions
