JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of the e-commerce manager includes full responsibility of the net sales and P&L.
The role includes understanding growth opportunities, efficiencies to reduce costs, ensuring the website reflects the brand strategy, understanding market challenges, and proposing solutions.
The e-commerce manager will be responsible for conveying a consistent brand image that attracts customers and encourages sales online.
Key success factors include strategic thinking, market knowledge, a deep understanding of e-commerce KPIs, data analysis, project management skills, and leadership in a multi-faceted environment.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES: Net sales and P&L: Full responsibility for budgeting, net sales results, and P&L of the region; reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis; data analysis to understand KPIs and drive decisions; monitoring and coordination with the web marketing team and operational activities. Regional calendar management: Revision and decision-making with calendar stakeholders; suggesting local needs to seize further opportunities. Coordination with teams to ensure plan execution: CRM, product, creative teams, project management, and IT teams. Supervising website performance. Continuous testing and participation in testing sessions. Supervising costs and P&L drivers; finding potential opportunities for cost reduction. Business development and website optimization: Identifying new growth opportunities, benchmarking, and suggesting activities to improve overall user experience and content. Brand relationship building: Ensuring budget reflects brand investment and alignment on brand activities that can exploit the digital channel. Go-to-market alignment: Coordination with the physical retail team on all calendar activities and promotions. Coordination with the legal team on all legal matters. NETWORK OF INTERACTION: INTERNAL: Brand Team, Legal Team, Operations Team, Web Marketing Team, CRM Team, Product Team, Other Channels Teams.
EXTERNAL: Web marketing agency ad interim, External vendors.
TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE: Extensive experience in direct and digital marketing, ideally in a similar industry. Strong background in customer acquisition, re-engagement, and retention strategies. Confident communicator capable of inspiring collaboration. Proven skills in managing complex processes with multiple business owners. Excellent organizational and data analysis skills; ability to derive actionable conclusions from large data sets. A thorough understanding of direct marketing principles. Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and data analysis. Demonstrated ability to work with global technology and business teams. At least 5 years' experience in digital merchandising, digital marketing, or e-commerce. Knowledge of e-commerce business models and effective marketing strategies. Knowledge of the digital ecosystem and how various channels work together. An analytical, problem-solving, and results-driven approach to e-commerce challenges. Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools. Knowledge of online marketing tactics (SEO, SEM, Email, etc.
