WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

This position reports to the Chief Engineering of the product line and leads the architectural layout of the full vehicle for both New Programs and Current Product Maintenance.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead the Vehicle Architecture definition in accordance with the product requirements;

- Lead the virtual packaging analysis with support of internal and external specialists;

- Leverage the manufacturing-ability of Advance Manufacturing Engineering;

- Optimize the vehicle layout in accordance with performances, assembly-ability and service-ability criteria;

- Support the concept studies of the Engineering Teams;

- Owns the Virtual Master Models and creates/maintains it regularly with continues exchanges with all the stakeholders within Engineering Teams, working to reduce product complexity and cost;

- Support the Engineering Teams in defining a coherent design release plan and drives them in respecting it, through troubleshooting in case of conflicts and monitoring the status on a weekly base through the KPIs reporting;

- Lead the verification of the Product Offering configuration rules, taking decisions together with Platform Manager and Product Specialists in case of conflicts;

- Lead of the DIA kits definition, verification and release;

- Lead the Legislation conformity check during the design phase (lights, Steps, etc) and support the Chief Engineer and the Homologation Department in verifying the compliance for what concern the full vehicle to the global and local legal requirement through the homologation drawings collection

- He/She suggests the best technical solutions for problems in accordance with technical and manufacturing constraints and helps the team to identify the solution for best tradeoff between, cost, quality, time and reliability;

- Perform Virtual Order validation for the different build phases;

YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle/complex mechanical design through CAD (PTC Creo as preference), PLMs, and manufacturing processes to ensure design solutions are compatible with production tooling and methodologies;

- Vehicle Architect has an overall knowledge of a complex vehicle (Agricultural Tractor as a preference)

- Soft Skill/Communication - Ability to negotiate within engineering the technical solution, facilitation of idea generation and selection.

Capability to share positive/negative feedbacks about technical outcome

- Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle/mechanical design environment

- Task Management skills together with management and motivation of resources assigned

- Technical skills: basics of vehicle systems (tractor as preference), technical drawings, mechanical, manufacturing technologies, electrical and hydraulic systems

- Familiar with DFMEA

- Mechanical Engineering degree with emphasis in automotive is a plus

- Availability to travel up to 30%

- Fluent English is a must

- Proactiveness and accountability

- Ability to work in cross functional team environment

- Ability to work with tight deadline and under pressure
