**ECLSS System Engineer/Architecture (Senior)

Specification, design and implementation of ECLSS (Environmental Control &Life Support System) design of complex spacecraft.

She/He has to have a solid cultural base in ECLSS and thermal field such to be able in a short time to define a complex architecture and manage a complex design.

For the above described task a solid thermos-hydraulic knowledge is required.

Key duties

- Definition of specific ECLSS requirements derived from Customer high level ones

- Definition and management of trade-off to support architectural basic choices

- Definition of ECLSS architecture

- Sizing and design of ECLSS, considering manufacturability and integration constraints

- (Simple) Models build-up and run of analyses to support preliminary sizing, design choices and requirement definition/assessment

- Preparation of Procurement Specifications for ECLSS subsystem

- Technical follow-on of ECLSS procurement up to delivery (i. e.

Subco managementfrom both technical and programmatic stand point)

- Engineering support to development and qualification of manufacturing processes for ECLSS hardware.

- Support to hardware integration and final testing

- Support to tests, preparation of test Specifications and review of test procedures

- Support to Quality Assurance for discussion and disposition of NCRs during manufacturing, integration and testing activities.

Skills, experience and qualifications required:

- Master degree in Engineering

- Previous work experience **of at least five years **in the requested discipline and field (Space) is mandatory.

- Master SEEDS is appreciated.

- Ability and experience in managing Subcontractors from both a technical and programmatic point of view.

- Attitude to manage and be leader of a technical Team.

- knowledge of ECLSS main requirements and relevant solutions for Space Station manned modules and re-entry Vehicles.

- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and techniques relevant to ECLSS constituents.

- Good attitude towards teaming and multi-disciplinary approaches

- Available to work in shifts if requested by the Program

- Good attitude towards analysis, synthesis and problem solving

- Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
