As the EHS Site Manager, you will lead all matters related to Environment, Health and Safety at our Milan Plant, ensuring the site and our people are legally compliant.

You are accountable for establishing an ongoing assessment of the implementation of the EHS Management System to align with local legislation and PPG EHS requirements, and for generating a strategy for site investment in EHS related infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement the EHS strategy by developing and aligning local plans; provide proactive feedback to the Country Manager to ensure strategy sustainability and adaptability in the long term.

- Be a member of the local Leadership Team, participates in local decision-making and supports local needs.

- Ensure EHS resources are assigned as defined in the EHS responsibility matrix, service agreements and legal requirements.

- EHS Contact person for Authorities, cooperation and/or preparation of permits and/or change requests in communication with authorities.

- Identify and prioritize needs, propose and get approval for EHS local budget, and manage it accordingly in full alignment with Site Leadership Team and Country guidelines.

**Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or equivalent Science field

- 6-10 years' learning experience in the EHS field, preferred manufacturing or chemical setting.

- Strong expertise of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident prevention, incident investigation techniques, and safety and environmental education and training.

- Strong problem solving skills

- Outstanding interpersonal with strong communication, solid leadership, influencing, mentoring; effective advisor to management and employees across a variety of issues.

- Ability to balance multiple projects, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

- Ability to prioritize well, focusing resources in an appropriate manner across the site.

- Proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge of MS office products including Outlook, Word and Excel.

- Professional in organisational change and building a safety culture through influence and engagement.

- Persistent self-starter who can work optimally and lead/mentor others with minimum guidance.
