The Position As an EHS Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight for all EHS activities related to the Anagni Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx) project, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
In addition, you will be responsible for setting direction for EHS and developing, implementing, and improving EHS procedures and guidelines.
Moreover, you will be responsible to lead the EHS team and promote motivation, teamwork, and people engagement.
Your Main Accountabilities will be to: Establish and manage EHS team including appointment of all necessary roles according to both Novo Nordisk requirements and Italian law, and lead EHS risk assessment process and impact evaluations for the Anagni FFEx, developing and implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact, occupational hazards, and safety risks Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, environmental organizations, and other stakeholders to stay abreast of EHS developments, best practices, and emerging trends in fill and finish operations and provide guidance and support to project teams on EHS matters, including training, coaching, and fostering a culture of safety awareness and environmental responsibility Ensure robust process for EHS data reporting for both internal and external employees, incl.
use of Novo Nordisk HS IT systems.
Strong process for incident and investigation incl.
sharing of learnings across EPCM's must be established utilizing Novo Nordisk tools for systematic problem solving, and support the Project Directors to drive each Anagni FFEx construction area in full EHS compliance assuring the safety of Novo Nordisk employees, visitors and external workers Support the Facilities & Utilities Maintenance group creation and SOPs writing assuring the full compliance with the Italian Laws and the Novo Nordisk standards and policies, as well establish and manage local EHS organization with appointment of e. g.
Health and Safety representatives in line with Novo Nordisk requirements Support to the Environmental Permitting, and interact with the EHS Lawyers Qualifications As an EHS Senior Manager, you need to have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
In addition, you need to have more than 5 years of experience in EHS roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Moreover, you need to have in-depth knowledge of local Italian and international EHS law regulations and standards To be effective in this role, you should have: Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Strong leadership and communication skills Experience in leading EHS initiatives for large-scale expansion projects Master's degree in a related field Professional certifications in EHS fields and management Experience in driving cultural change and fostering a safety-first mindset Proven track record of integrating EHS considerations into complex projects Fluency in English About the Department You will be part of the Novo Nordisk Anagni Site, specifically within the FFEx Project perimeter, reporting to the Engineering, Construction, Facilities, Utilities, Maintenance & EHS Director.
