As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Your responsibilities will involve conducting risk assessments, training employees, and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Job Description Essential Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsConduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actionsProvide EHS training and education to employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety standards and proceduresInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrenceCollaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvementMaintain accurate records of EHS activities, incidents, and compliance effortsMonitor and analyze EHS performance metrics and report findings to managementStay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and improvementParticipate in emergency response planning and drillsSupport sustainability initiatives and environmental stewardship effortsQualifications/Requirements Master's Degree Engineering - Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related fieldProven experience in an EHS roleKnowledge of Italian EHS regulation (D. lgs.
81/2008 and D. lgs 152/2006) and EHS international standards (ISO14001 and ISO45001)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAPStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasksFluent Italian and good English knowledgeWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired Characteristics Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhat we offer Smart working and work life-balance Avio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
