Position Summary

With direct supervision, supports all aspects of the locations goals and objectives in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS).

The role will ensure that the plant meets all the requirements of Health, Safety and Environment requested.

The focus of the activities will be on the continuous improvement of procedures existing liaising with external Parker and with the internal functions involved in supporting and incentive plans and projects in this regard.

**Responsibilities

- The HSE Specialist will provide to:

- Identify of risk factors, risk assessment, and identify safety and health measures for work environments, and environmental impact in compliance with current legislation based on specific knowledge of organization;

- Elaborate preventive and protective measures and control systems for such measures;

- Develop safety and environment procedures;

- Propose information and training programs for workers;

- Participate in consultations on health and safety at work, and environment as well as at the regular meeting in accordance with D. Lgs. 81 / 08.

- _ Be Responsibile for the Prevention and Protection Services of the plant;_

- Contributes to the Internal Management System for the Health, Safety and Environment part;

- Coordinate and guide first party and third party audits;

- Share and transfer the Corporate Best Practices to the Plant;

- _ Implement safety and environmental programs based on division expectations;_

- _ Ensures to deploy measures to reduce the CO2 footprint;_

- Promotes and supports continuous improvement of safety and environment issues;

- Additionally, support programs and procedures to meet facility objectives and targets in EHS.

Maintain necessary EHS records.

Insure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and Directives.

Chair ISO 14000 and 18000 Committees (if applicable).

Support corrective actions from Corporate EHS audits.

Coordinate all EHS training.

Onsite contact for Corporate EHS Department and under Corporate direction manage EPA actions such as, but not limited to, NOV's, cleanups and complaints.

Onsite contact for Corporate EHS Department and under their direction manage OSHA actions such as, but not limited to, inspections, letters of noncompliance and informal conferences.

Direct the division's waste management (recycling) program.

Support and integrate EHS into Lean, HR, and Supply Chain efforts.

**Qualifications

- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Management Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent disciplines;

- 1-3 years of experience in the role gained in production environments of medium complexity;

- Knowledge of:

- Health and Safety Legislation (D. Lgs.

81/2008);

- Environment Legislation (D. Lgs. 152/06);

- OHSAS 18001 standard;

- ISO 14001 standard.

- Ability to follow-up on issues and concerns such that Parker employees are confident that the Corporation is acting responsibly on all matters pertaining to environmental, safety, and security matters;

- Italian mothertongue, fluent in English;

- Proficiency in MS Office package;

- Understanding of operating systems and softwares linked to EHS;

- Be a person who can act with teams in a very positive and energizing way;

- Be a hands-on person who actively helps the team to improve the workspace;

- Nice to have Lean and workplace organization knowledge.
