As a Product Marketing Specialist, you will drive the sales performance of our SCADA system projects, protection relay configuration and retrofit projects, Grid Automation and Loop Control solutions and automation for Data Centre projects from the Digital Systems unit. You will also support the local sales organizations and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area to drive profitable growth specifying effective sales and business development initiatives in line with our strategy. It will be in your responsibility to increase new and existing business by ensuring the local sales organizations are finding leads and converting them to sales opportunities supporting them when needed with presentation of the ABB portfolio of digital solutions. In your role you will also bring relevant knowledge of our products, systems, pricing and competition to the local sales organizations to enable them to increase their hit rate. In this role you will be responsible for the export market (South of Europe and north Africa).
**Your responsibilities**:
- Supporting the sales team and customers throughout the sales process, while developing business by increasing
- knowledge of products and markets.
- Identifying customer needs and competitors' offerings through market studies, ensuring that marketing is effective and
- that communications demonstrate the value proposition of products and services.
- Assisting the local sales units in developing solid business plans and identify improvement areas driving these as a
- continuous process activity for each country based on specific market dynamics.
- Determining the best solutions, and providing technical support, product presentations and training for our local sales
- units, end customers and partners.
- Preparing offers to ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and commercial
- conditions.
- Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
- Identifying and driving the development of existing and new market opportunities in South of Europe and north Africa
- markets and ensuring knowhow sharing and cross-collaboration with team and the GPG.
- Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer
- understanding of full product/services offering and align to provide a solution.
**Your background**:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in engineering field of technical/sales/product/service.
- Knowledge of SCADA and electrical control systems.
- Good knowledge & skill of electrical products /systems /solution /management /troubleshooting /analysis/ verification
- /improvement /innovation creation/ etc.
- Sales skills, value base selling and technical approaching skill of products/systems to distributor/system integrator/panel
- builder/commercial/industrial/utility customers.
- An understanding of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required, good understanding of French and/or Spanish language will be counted as an advantage.
- Willingness to travel.
