Job DescriptionLocation: Milan (preferred) and Rome, Hybrid As Grid Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering aspects during the grid connection process from TSO or DNO application through to the design and construction of our Italian solar, wind, and battery storage projects.

You will work within our Italian engineering team and report to the Technical Manager Grid.

Main Responsibilities:Manage HV or MV grid connection engineering aspects of projectsGrid connection option / feasibility studiesEquipment selection, engineering design and calculations, from concept stage to constructionValue engineering, health & safety designers risk assessmentPreliminary grid studies i. e.

short circuit study, load flow study, compliance with TERNA standards and simulation for specific projectsEngagement with DNOs and TSOsDesign reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and relevant industry codes & standardsManage and supervise third-party engineers or external design servicesPreliminary capex cost estimates during the development stage, identifying risks, exclusions, contingencies, and assumptionsProvide technical support to management of the connection agreementTechnical specifications for equipment and words tendersEngineering support to tender and construction phase of projectsElectrical Engineering support for PV, Wind and BESS. QualificationsDegree in Industrial Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in HV or MV electrical design, construction and development in ItalyExperience and sound understanding of the grid connection process in Italy, from application to construction, including national standards and TERNA requirements applicable to the HV systems, including but not limited to CEI, IEC, Italian standards and TERNA Grid Code and relative annexesExperience with design software including AutoCAD, DigSILENT or ETAP or similarAbility to originate grid connection concept/preliminary designs and associated sizing calculationsAbility to undertake grid code / network power system studiesExperience with protection and control schemesFluency in Italian and English; Spanish will be considered a plusWillingness to travel regularly across the countryAdditional InformationStatkraft's vision is to renew the way the world is powered.
