The AC Power Global Large UPS department designs large power Uninterruptible Power Supply from a mechanical and electrical standpoint, executes engineering tests, verifies that the product meets the design requirements, executes value engineering analysis to reduce the cost of the product, supports field engineers for special applications in the field, and supports the service for field issues.

We are now looking for an Electrical Product Engineer to join our team in Castel Guelfo di Bologna, Italy.

This position is in charge of: Supporting the products during their life cycle, transferring the lessons learned collected in the field to the engineering team, and working in conjunction with the other teams to develop test cases to verify the product features.

Working with Manufacturing Engineers to analyze the product cost.

Evaluating alternative components and solutions that can be adopted during the life of the products.

Analyzing specific applications providing active support and service.

What kind of work will you be doing?

Coordinating activities with the Service team and providing the necessary documentation to start the Change order processes.

Cooperating with other engineering functions during the definition of the product specification.

Supporting the testing team for the definition of the test plan and reviewing the test results.

Producing technical documentation in line with the process requirements such as drawings and component specifications.

What will make you successful?

Excellent planning and communication skills.

Good knowledge of electrical power components.

Good knowledge of PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and processes.

Good team working attitude and communication skills.

Customer-oriented with availability to travel.

Good English language knowledge.

University degree or technical diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Experience in equivalent areas (e. g. , UPS, Power converter, or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus.

1-5 years of experience.
