Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for a Electrical System Design Engineer in Firenze for one of our top clients.

Our client is a leading energy technology company that designs, manufactures, and services transformative technologies to help take energy forward.

The Electrical System Design Engineer will help the group's growth by designing large electric motors and generators and carrying out engineering design reviews with suppliers and customers to ensure compliance with customer contractual specifications and project applicable international rules.

Responsibilities: Managing technical proposals, reviewing customer specifications, and identifying customer requirements, comments & deviations from customer technical clarifications and Bid Clarification Meetings (BCM); Performing a technical selection of all electrical items in the scope of supply MV variable speed drive systems, fixed speed motors, power generators, and BOP equipment like battery, DC panel, MV switchgear, MCC, LCC; Managing technical documentation during the engineering development phase, following up with suppliers and customers up to finalization; Formulating functional purchase specifications and ensuring close technical alignment of supplier technical proposals.

Requirements: Italian and English communication proficiency.

Experience in converting design requirements into RFQ data sheets and finalizing comments & deviations, including the required quality requirements.

Knowledge of the operation and working philosophy of electrical machines and BOP.

Expertise in battery, DCP & MCC sizing calculations.

Proven experience in design (electrical items).

Advantages: Experience working with cross-functional teams within a global-matrix environment.

Experience in oil & gas industries and ITO support.
