Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for a Electrical System Design Engineer in Firenze for one of our top clients.

Our client is a leading energy technology company which design, manufacture and service transformative technologies to help take energy forward.

The Electrical System Design Engineer will help the group's growth designing large electric motors and generators and carrying out engineering design reviews with suppliers and customers, to ensure compliance with customer contractual specifications, and project applicable international rules.

Responsibility for the role: Managing Technical proposals, Reviewing of Customer specification and identifying Customer requirements, Comments & Deviations from Customer's Technical clarifications from Customer and Bid Clarification Meetings (BCM); Performing a technical selection of all electrical items in the scope of supply MV variable speed drive systems Fixed Speed Motors, Power Generators and BOP Equipment like Battery, DC Panel, MV Switchgear, MCC, LCC; Managing technical documentation during the engineering development phase following up with supplier and customer up to finalization; Formulating functional purchase specifications and close technical alignment of supplier technical proposals.

Requirements: Italian and English communication proficiency.

Experience in converting design requirements into RFQ data sheet and finalizing Comments & deviations including the required quality requirements.

Knowing the operation and working philosophy of Electrical machine and BOP.

Expertise in Battery, DCP & MCC - Sizing calculation.

Proven experience in Design (Electrical items).

Advantages: Experience in working with cross-functional teams within a global-matrix environment.
