About the Role As anEmbedded Software EngineeratSIAE MICROELETTRONICA, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and testing software components for various projects, while also providing technical guidance to the software team.
You will collaborate closely with the electronics and hardware teams to ensure that hardware design aligns with software requirements.

Responsibilities Develop and validate embedded software running onEmbedded Linux OS.
Contribute to the firmware architecture ofmicrowave and networking transport systems.
Perform firmware bring-up and testing on microwave andnetworking systems.
Analyze and troubleshoot device misbehavior in collaboration with other team members.
Key Requirements A degree in atechnical fieldwith at least 3 years ofhands-on experience.
Solid programming skills inC languageandobject-orientedprogramming.
Proven experience withEmbedded LinuxOperating Systems. Solid understanding ofsoftwarecomponentarchitecture, design, developmentandtesting.
Hands-on experience withbuildenvironments(Makefile, CMake), version controltools (Git), anddebuggingtools (GDB, Lauterbach TRACE32).
Knowledge ofnetworking protocols(TCP/IP, socket programming).
Proficiency in English.
Strongcommunicationandteamworkskills.
Preferred Qualifications Expertise inAgiledevelopment methodologies.
Experience inLinuxdevice driver development.
Experience inLinuxkernel configuration.
Knowledge ofLinuxinter-process communication and multi-threaded programming.
Experience withhardware device drivers(SPI, I2C, UART).
Familiarity withEthernetswitch configuration.
Knowledge of static and dynamic codeanalysis tools(Klocwork, Valgrind).
Experience withprotocolgeneration/analyzers(JDSU, Anritsu, Wireshark).
Scripting skills inBashand/orPython.
