About the Role As an Embedded Software Engineer at SIAE MICROELETTRONICA , you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and testing software components for various projects, while also providing technical guidance to the software team.
You will collaborate closely with the electronics and hardware teams to ensure that hardware design aligns with software requirements.

Responsibilities Develop and validate embedded software running on Embedded Linux OS.
Contribute to the firmware architecture of microwave and networking transport systems.
Perform firmware bring-up and testing on microwave and networking systems.
Analyze and troubleshoot device misbehavior in collaboration with other team members.
Key Requirements A degree in a technical field with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
Solid programming skills in C language and object-oriented programming.
Proven experience with Embedded Linux Operating Systems.
Solid understanding of software component architecture , design , development and testing.
Hands-on experience with build environments (Makefile, CMake), version control tools (Git), and debugging tools (GDB, Lauterbach TRACE32).
Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, socket programming).
Proficiency in English.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications Expertise in Agile development methodologies.
Experience in Linux device driver development.
Experience in Linux kernel configuration.
Knowledge of Linux inter-process communication and multi-threaded programming.
Experience with hardware device drivers (SPI, I2 C, UART).
Familiarity with Ethernet switch configuration.
Knowledge of static and dynamic code analysis tools (Klocwork, Valgrind).
Experience with protocol generation/ analyzers (JDSU, Anritsu, Wireshark).
Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
