**Scope summary**: The EMEA Resin Director / Procurement Manager Italy is a senior-level executive responsible for leading and overseeing all procurement activities in HQ Italia (Veneto) and for resin purchasing process in Europe.

This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient purchasing processes to support the organization's objectives.

The Resin Director / Procurement Manager Italy plays a key role in optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement in procurement operations.

The resin director should also implement the strategy discussed and agreed with the Director of Procurement EU

**Main responsibilities**:

Develop and Implement Procurement Strategy for Italy, formulate procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies, and supplier optimization, establish procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Supplier Relationship Management, build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and agreements with suppliers, monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.

Procurement Operations Management, oversee all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract management, lead cross-functional teams to evaluate supplier capabilities, assess market trends, and identify potential risks, implement systems and tools to streamline procurement workflows and enhance transparency and accountability.

Cost Optimization and Risk Management, analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to identify opportunities for cost optimization and risk mitigation, develop and implement strategies to manage commodity price fluctuations, currency risks, monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to track cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance.

**Leadership and Team Development**: provide leadership and mentorship to the procurement team, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the procurement function, develop talent, build capabilities, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.

At HQ local level the role should covers, in terms of procurement, all needs of a manufacturing plant (from CAPEX to general services).

At EU regional level, the role covers all activities related to plastic materials procurement such as price negotiation, orders, deliveries, etc.

for all plants working in Europe region (in particular for PP resin) having local buyers as functional report for this specific activity.

On matrix level work together with the Procurement Director EU to define the strategy and the pricing and contracts.

Follow guidelines to implement this strategy and pricing for the group in Europe.

**Requirements**: Bachelor's degree

Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management

Proven knowledge of resin market is a must.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Solid understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies, REACH

Willing to travel
