Emea Retail Director
Job Description: The Retail Director, EMEA will be responsible for implementing the company's strategy and setting the standards for the directly operated boutiques in the region, focusing on driving growth in the key markets (existing & new). This role's objective is to enhance the in-store customer journey and experience while improving productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction, digital integration, and overall performance. The EMEA Retail Director will collaborate with all teams in store and cross-functionally to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric strategy.
JOB DUTIES: Responsible for the financial performance of the EMEA region retail division a total of 15 stores (includes full price boutiques in Italy, France & UK and outlet locations in Italy). Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial targets in partnership with the Merchandising and Finance team. Monitor key financial metrics and present strategies to optimize profitability and sales growth. Monitor and analyze Business key performance indicators (KPIs) within the retail network and present to upper management results and action plans. Collaborate in creating, implementing and ensuring adherence to company strategy and standards across all retail operations. Identify and pursue growth opportunities in the region by extending the retail network opportunities (i. e. new store openings, temporary/seasonal pop ups, etc. ). Build and lead a high-performing team in the regions by recruiting, develop, and retaining top talents. Acting as a strategic partner, actively coach, challenge, and support local teams. Partner with HR and Retail Excellence on creating incentives and engaging activities for retention, reward and recognition. Optimize the in-store customer journey, focusing on key areas. Collaborate with HQ to drive retail excellence. Collaborate with Corporate Merchandising & Marketing for product feedback / needs, opportunities for activations to drive to retail, VIC etc. Lead and supervise customer-focused initiatives, such as surveys and profiling, to align retail strategies with customer expectations. Foster a culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement. Build and maintain relationships with Clients and Key Stakeholders. Be omnichannel focus by partnering with other channels such as wholesale EUME, ecommerce and B to B. Facilitate the exchange of best practices across different markets / regions. Ensure efficient reporting and information flow across all organizational levels. Conduct market analysis and research to identify emerging trends and potential business opportunities. Represent the organization at relevant conferences and events. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in business or a related field. At least ten years of experience in a retail business model. Experience in regional roles is required. Experience in luxury industry and knowledge of Europe and Middle East markets a must. Strong flexibility and adaptability, ideally developed in a consulting environment specializing in retail. Proven ability in decision-making, risk assessment, and change management. Highly results-driven, with a strong ability to achieve objectives. Strong leadership and influence skills, even without direct hierarchical authority. Excellent interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate different cultural and business contexts. Strong ability to influence stakeholders and drive performance across different regions. Solid expertise in customer-centric strategies, innovation, and project management. Fluency in English and Italian is required. Willingness to travel (75%).
