The EMEA | Supplier Cost Reduction Idea project leader will be the overall program leader for gathering project idea definition and benefit estimates, engineering cost and validation estimates, and overall implementation schedule & impact across the EMEA Wabtec sourcing organization.

At this occasion, you will work with our global supplier base, engineering teams and Center-led sourcing teams to identify, negotiate and implement projects keeping the same form fit and function to the previous approved part with the purpose of generating cost out savings for the Wabtec EMEA region and beyond to Transit globally when needed for standard parts.

SCRI projects will be related but not limited to:

- VA/ VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) ideas: New technology, new tools, new materials, new manufacturing processes

- Tolerances ease

- New logistics scheme (MOQ, Packaging )

- Standardization products accros PL's

You will report to the EMEA Sourcing Vice President and will own the SCRI process for all EMEA commodities.

You will use experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and act as a change agent to move cross-functional projects to completion.

**Your future essential responsibilities**:

You will be the **Cross-Functional Liaison & Process Leader **and will have essential Responsibilities to develop commodity and internal engineering engagement rhythms & strategies to maximize overall program effectiveness and ensure we achieve desired targets.

- **Project Identification, you will**:

- Engage with Sourcing, Design and Principal Engineers to drive project identification and execution.

- Facilitate project pipeline opportunity development across the global commodity team along with direct discussions with suppliers to ensure clarity on project as well as potential benefits.

- Establish repeatable process that generates cost out opportunities via SCRI approach.

- Leverage tools such as should cost analysis, tear down analysis.

- Lead idea generation events and activities such as action workouts, plant line walks, supplier site idea generation events, alternate material substitutions, & optimized manufacturing process, etc.

- **Project Execution**:

- Consolidate & ensure overall engineering & supplier quality resource allocation & funding necessary for program success.

- Ensure project milestones are achieved in support of planned implementation dates and project savings.

- Accelerate project execution through effective cross-functional project management, utilizing key stakeholders such as Engineering & Supplier Quality critical qualifications through manufacturing & supplier engagement.

- **Project Tracking**:

- Build forecast and budget for the EMEA SCRI efforts.

- Monitor and regularly report project pipeline and execution/implementation to functional leaders.

- Conduct financial reviews with commodity team leaders and finance managers as needed to solidify project savings.

Develop a cross functional teaming dynamic in a matrix Sourcing and Engineering organization that reaches globally to position all Wabtec products for the competitive landscape.

**Requirements**:

- You have been graduated as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

- You are experienced of 10 years at least in sourcing, engineering or product/program with strong project planning and project execution

- You are willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time

- You are capable to work in a team as well as independently as a clear thinker with the ability to lead team level projects with high sensitivity towards maintaining an aggressive timeline

- With inclusive leadership, you take ownership on driving cross functional projects

- Proven people management skills with clear vision and can-do attitude, you also have an excellent project/initiative management skills

- You have a strong data analytics, interpersonal and communication skills with positive persuasive attitude

- You are a good negociator and have good knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

- You are able to work with cross functional teams such as sourcing, engineering, NPI sourcing, quality, services, materials etc.
