Emergency Management Specialist (Training And Assessments)
You will serve as an EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TRAINING AND ASSESSMENTS) in the Emergency Management, N3 Operations Division of COMMANDER NAVY REGION EUROPE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Creating recommendations for development, adoption, and implementation of an effective emergency management program; Conducting emergency management program assessments to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions; Ensuring periodic reports are updated and submitted for all assessment and exercise after action plans, corrective action plans, identified lessons learned and best practices; Establish plans and procedures to efficiently equip, staff, and operate a Regional Operations Center (ROC).

The position is considered Emergency Essential because (1) no qualified and immediate replacement exists, and (2) having it vacant would (a) impair the effective operation of essential military support systems or (b) adversely impact the combat mission of deployed forces.
In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties for up to 18 months; unless relieved sooner by proper authority.
The incumbent, or designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises.
This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively; therefore, the position requires the incumbent, or designated alternate, to be screened from military recall status, and file a DD Form 2365.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
