- Relevant experience in employee relations, labor relations, labor/employment law.
- Relevant experience in creating, improving and executing programs at scale.
- Relevant experience analyzing and using metrics to identify vulnerabilities and drive improvements in the employee experience.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing/distribution/call center locations with experience working in unionized settings.
- Understanding of Italian employment and labor laws.
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and Italian.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, enabling individual to establish partnerships working with senior leaders and across organizational lines

We are seeking an Employee Relations Manager to join a team to support cross-organizational business lines.
The objective of Amazon's Employee Relations team is to ensure fair and respectful treatment of employees.
We are relentlessly working to reinforce effective provisions and practices for collective communication and consultation, in a unionized environment.
We are seeking a creative, hands-on, customer-obsessed individual who will develop and improve a positive employee relations climate; she/he will drive the industrial relations agenda and strategy for the assigned business line in accordance with Amazon culture and applicable legislation.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive the strategy and the agenda of industrial relations, attending information and consultation meetings and managing the relations with employees' representation.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources including employee feedback mechanisms to identify trends and insight that can be used to inform business decision making to ensure positive employee relations and reduce vulnerabilities.
- Design, deliver and evaluate training programs to build up employee relations capability and labor relations awareness for both operations and HR.
- Partner with senior managers and HR teams to create/sustain positive employee relations programs and best practices designed to achieve high engagement targets.
This will range from full project management to involvement and ownership for local assessment and implementation.
- Support and advise operations and HR partners on effective change management.
- Design, review and revise programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relations and ensure compliance with the relevant employment regulation (in partnership with HR, Legal and PR).
- Work reactively on crisis situations that typically can only be successfully addressed under severe time constraints, together with business leaders.
About the team
The ER Manager will report to the Head of Employee Relations for Italy.
This is a full-time position that will require significant travel, up to 25% of the time over the course of the year, including occasional travel across the EU and North America.
The role can be located in any one of our sites in Lombardia (IT).
