RINA is currently recruiting for a Energy Digital Innovation and Cybersecurity Project Manager to join its office in Genova or Milan, Italy within the Energy Innovation Centre Division. Mission We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the project & proposal management for international R&D and industrial projects focused on Energy Digital Innovation & Cybersecurity. You will collaborate with other team members and colleagues to meet customer needs and achieve company objectives. The team operates especially in the context of local and international funding programs: Horizon Europe, LIFE, Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, Innovation Fund, EMFAF, IPCEI, EIT, RFCS, Interreg, PRIMA, Fondo Transizione Industriale, Contratti di Sviluppo, ARERA, and other local funding programs related to PNRR. Job Responsibilities The new resource will be part of the Energy Research, Development and Innovation Group, which is mainly exposed to innovative projects. The key responsibilities will include: Contributing to the identification and development of new project ideas and opportunities. Leading, or assisting in, the preparation of proposals (from technical and budgeting perspective) for either R&D & Innovation projects under European and international funding programs or industrial projects (i. e. in response to tenders and requests for quotation received from customers). Managing or supporting the management of projects during execution. Collaborating with internal experts and international partners and suppliers on technical project development. Contributing to the development of digital tools for consulting and engineering services. Coordinating software development activities. Supporting the software development team in the interaction with partners and clients. Designing innovative software solutions to solve customer problems. Preparing, or providing support for the preparation of, reports, presentations, and project deliverables. Overseeing contracts from an economic and financial perspective (profit and loss management via dedicated ERP/CRM software). Supporting the expansion of RINA network of R&D partners, suppliers, etc. Being the interface between software developers and other colleagues within the Energy Business Unit. Contributing to business development initiatives as required. Skills And Education PhD in Software Engineering or Computer Science, focus on cybersecurity is highly desirable – relevant work experience may compensate for different degrees. Prior experience working on European R&D funded projects will be considered a plus. Understanding of programming concepts and best software development practices. Ability to solve complex problems and quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Knowledge of agile development principles and software lifecycle management methodologies. Fluency in English and Italian is required. Excellent verbal and written reporting skills. Strong research skills, organizational abilities, and the capability to deliver results. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. An open-minded approach to innovation and creativity, with a positive attitude towards networking.
