Considering the expansion of the business and production facilities at the international level, the company leadership has decided to hire a new manager responsible for energy supply management and the implementation of projects aimed at reducing CO2 emissions, both for existing and future facilities.
The Energy Improvement Manager, reporting directly to the CEO, will be tasked with evaluating, developing, and implementing projects aimed at optimizing energy usage and reducing CO2 emissions in processes and production sites. Additionally, they will be responsible for proposing innovative projects that efficiently and sustainably harness renewable energies. Responsibilities
- Ensure the presence and periodic review of the CO2 plan, from loss analysis to action plan, in line with the targets set in the company policy. The Energy Improvement Manager is responsible for ensuring continuous presence and periodic review of the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions management plan, starting from loss and inefficiency analysis to the definition of an action plan consistent with the goals established in the company policy. This plan should identify critical areas and concrete actions to improve environmental performance.
- Act as a reference regarding the progress of all ongoing projects related to CO2 reduction, through visits, reporting, reporting, and benchmarking. The Energy Improvement Manager must be the focal point for constantly monitoring the progress of all ongoing projects aimed at reducing CO2 emissions. This involves conducting regular visits, collecting detailed data, preparing periodic reports, and comparing performance with industry benchmarks.
- In collaboration with plants and other services, ensure a constant focus of the organization on the continuous optimization of consumption as a lever for the reduction of direct and indirect emissions. The Energy Improvement Manager actively collaborates with plants and other services to ensure that the entire organization is consistently focused on optimizing consumption as a key tool to reduce direct and indirect CO2 emissions. This requires open communication and close collaboration between various teams to identify and implement solutions to reduce environmental impact.
- Constantly investigate the availability of proven and/or experimental technologies in the market for CO2 emissions reduction, support the prioritization of installations, and prepare documentation to support their engineering. It is the responsibility of the Energy Improvement Manager to conduct constant research on available technologies in the market for CO2 emissions reduction, both proven and experimental. They must also support the prioritization of the implementation of these technologies based on their potential for emission reduction and adaptability to company installations, preparing comprehensive technical documentation to guide the engineering of selected solutions.
- Lead, according to project management principles, the assigned projects, whether they are experiments, industrial tests, or actual industrial projects, in collaboration with other technical office services. The Energy Improvement Manager is responsible for the rigorous management of projects assigned by company leadership, which can range from experiments and industrial tests to broader industrial projects. Close collaboration with other technical office services is crucial to ensure effective management and the achievement of the set objectives.
- Promote the decarbonization culture through constant communication initiatives at all levels. The Energy Improvement Manager must promote the culture of decarbonization within the organization through constant communication initiatives aimed at all company levels. This includes raising awareness among all employees about the importance of reducing CO2 emissions and their role in achieving this goal.
**The Successful Applicant**:
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the industrial field as a project manager, engineering manager, energy industrial manager, innovation/R&D.
- Solid experience in companies with comparable business models or belonging to similar supply chains, impacted by the need for virtuous energy management and that have recently implemented emission reduction projects in different plants.
- Profound knowledge at the regulatory, strategic, and project levels of energy transition and CO2 emission reduction projects.
- Ability to build relationships with suppliers, research and development centers.
- Leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, results-oriented, active and open communication, constructive feedback, teamwork. Flexibility, risk-taking.
