Energy Manager
Job Description:
Venator is recruiting for an Energy Manager to join our team.
The position will be based in Turin, Italy.
Job Purpose:
Supports the Plant Manager in the correct management of utilities supply contracts, on the study and formulation of a plan to contain and reduce energy consumption in the plant.
Principal accountabilities:
- All activities must always be carried out in compliance with the EHS, Product Stewardship and Corporate Policy Directives of the Venator Group. - Supports the Plant Manager in the correct management of utilities supply contracts, participating in the definition of plant efficiency parameters and ensuring the achievement of budget objectives in terms of consumption / costs. -
- They will play the role of Energy Manager, pursuant to Law 10/1991, and in this context:
- examines the consumption of methane, electricity steam, where possible, also for individual users and in the event of anomalies, requests the necessary information and carries out the related corrective actions, -
- They will be responsible for energy compliances (UTF, GSE, EU-ETS, etc. . . declarations)-
- identifies the conditions for energy saving-
- plans adequate control and maintenance programs for the plants to increase their efficiency-
- carries out assessments on future consumption scenarios on the basis of the company's economic policies and energy-environmental objectives-
- program initiatives to raise awareness and training regarding the interventions proposed for the reduction of consumption. -
- Operates in compliance with the procedures of the quality, environment and safety management system and uses the Near Miss tool to report anomalous or dangerous situations. - Verify that the work areas under direct responsibility are kept in good condition in terms of housekeeping (clean and tidy work areas, free from waste, processing waste and obstacles, floors and walls free from slipping, tripping and fall, etc. . . ) as an important element for the prevention of injuries and accidents.

Strong communicator and influencer, skilled at mobilizing and inspiring technical contributors with or without direct line management authority, at all levels in the manufacturing organization.
Knowledge, experience and skills required:
- Bachelor Degree (5 yrs. )
in Energetic Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering- Significant technical management experience on a high hazard chemical facility with direct exposure to plant operations. - Substantive experience in leading and managing technical programs of work, with the ability to work with technical experts, 3rd party contract engineering organizations, corporate teams and senior leadership members. - Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues at a fundamental level and propose practical solutions. - 5+ years of industry experience of the chemicals manufacturing sector would be a distinct advantage- Knowledge of ISO 14001 standard (policy, structure of the SGA, significant environmental aspects)- Knowledge of ISO 50001 standard (policy, structure of the SGE, significant energy aspects)- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard
