**Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026** is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2, 300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22, 000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
**Position**:
We are looking for a **ENGAGEMENT MANAGER.
The Engagement Manager is responsible for developing a clear, meaningful, and memorable communication journey for the over
20. 000 Volunteers that will be involved in the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The mission is to develop and implement an effective communication and promotion strategy in integration with Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games one.
The main objective is to ensure Volunteers are sourced, properly informed and engaged at every step of the journey.
The ambition is to generate socially enriching opportunities for all participants, consolidating a long lasting legacy for sport volunteering.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Create awareness, promote and represent the Volunteer Programme, managing all related communication activities, with attention to both traditional and new media;
- Define and implement the Volunteer Programme Communication and Promotion Strategy / Engagement Strategy in collaboration with the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 Communication department;
- Liaise with all relevant stakeholders involved in the promotion of the Volunteer Programme, acting as a key contact person and preparing necessary toolkits for a correct messaging on the project;
- Define all promotional activities necessary for the implementation of a successful recruitment campaign;
- Plan and prepare media launch and Volunteer launch event and media in collaboration with relevant stakeholders;
- Responsible for developing and writing all Volunteer communication Templates, guides, newsletter and communication materials, while getting them progressively approved;
- Developing effective and meaningful engagement activities for Volunteers with commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion;
- Consult with Workforce Planning Manager and functional areas to establish volunteer communication needs at every step of the Journey;
- Develop an integrated communication timeline in line with the wider Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games one;
- Able to write, edit, revise and evaluate content and create content packages of various kind.
Supervising other team members contents;
- Support in the creation of Workforce related communication templates.
**Requirements**:
- 7+ years of proven experience in communication and events;
- Previous professional background in NGO, Communications and Events Agencies, Corporate operational Marketing or Media relations;
- Excellent analytical skills and proficient writing skills in both Italian and English;
- Experience in managing budgets and excellent interpersonal relationship and management skills due to continuous involvement with other stakeholders;
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural competencies;
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Previous involvement in Volunteer Programme(s) is an asset;
- Proficient Italian both spoken and written;
- Proficient English both spoken and written any further language is a plus;
- Adobe and MS Office.
