Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities Summary of Role We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer to join our Decarbonisation & Energy Transition team, to meet the increasing demands for our strategic technical services of our client base.
You will be based in Italy collaborating daily with teams both nationally, in Europe and in North America.
You will support and lead diverse consulting mandates that include concept and basic design for low carbon projects, technical and economic analyses of decarbonization pathways for our industrial client base globally.
You will also have the opportunity to own market-leading projects supporting investors in the decarbonisation of the asset portfolio while delivering strategic technical due diligence services for construction and acquisition of low carbon assets, as well as owner's engineer services during the implementation phase.
Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise: Undertakes engineering design and development, at different stages of the project Development and/or implementation of models for analysing and forecasting: The emissions reduction potential and cost implications of different decarbonization options and technologies Energy data, including energy consumption / demand / tariff analyses, Interval data analysis, grid vulnerability modelling and resilience & adaption measures analysis Conduct non-intrusive site energy audits to identify measures for savings such as lighting, HVAC, metering, fabric, central plant, infrastructure, and renewables.
Critical assessment of other consultants and contractors design and proposals Performs independent analysis with limited direction.
Supports team members with research and technical analysis.
Prepares documentation of analysis and research.
Leads/Assists in production of reports and presentations.
Take responsibility for personal development and enable and support the learning of others Project Management: Profitably manages small projects or project subtasks on time and to budget, to client or Project Manager satisfaction with limited oversight.
Manages own time to deliver agreed-to tasks / outcomes to project managers within the agreed time and budget, and to a high quality.
Client Development: Identifies new or follow-on opportunities from existing projects Supports client manager with proposal writing.
Contributes to/ participates in client reviews/meetings/discussions Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise Key Requirements Native speaking Italian and/or English with professional level proficiency in the other language 3-5 years' experience in a relevant position Demonstrable effective communication skills both in written reports and oral presentations Degree in Engineering subject or equivalent As the role includes travel, visiting clients across Italy and on occasions abroad, and staying connected with internationally based clients there is a requirement to be occasionally flexible around hours of working Personal Attributes Previous background or exposure to the industrial sector or the anaerobic digestion sector will be preferred Curious, globally minded, and enthusiastic Organized, methodical, and analytical Effective time management and organisational skills.
