Position: As an NPI Engineer , you will play a key role in supporting the New Product Introduction (NPI) process at our Bologna factory. You will be responsible for streamlining operations and ensuring a smooth transition from product development to production. Your focus will be on validating new products, managing item releases for production, and ensuring the accuracy of test results. You will be a vital part of our Digital Transformation Enabler (DTE) business unit, working closely with RFID technology to help build a seamless world, enhancing communication between companies, products and people. Main responsibilities: Collaborative Support: Collaborate with the NPI Manager, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), production and quality teams, global R&D to facilitate the efficient introduction of new products. Act as R&D touchpoint for production. NPI Handover: Assist in ensuring a successful NPI handover before the products enter full-scale production. Coordinate and execute: Preparation of relevant manufacturing instructions and validation data. Inspect and validate the validation documents, revise with manager or involved parties. Collaborate with quality and production to define testing limits, acceptance conditions and quality control plan adaptation. Updating production specifications, items to ERP and work instructions for production, based on outcome from NPI run. Release of the products and raw materials for mass production after validation and handover. Technology Transfer: Assist in coordinating technology transfer projects from other Beontag group locations, facilitating a smooth integration of new technologies and processes. Process: Contribute to the continuous development of the NPI process both locally and globally, working to identify and communicate best practices within the Beontag Group. Quality and Output: Collaborate with the team to enhance process performance in terms of quality and output. Continual test method and test frequency development together with quality team and other parties. Production support: Play an expert role and be the touch point for production by being proactively receptive to production feedback and requests. Support quality team during complex non-conformities. Documental ownership: Manage the item generation in Product Data Management/ERP and their revision. Collaborate in deployment of PDM system and future upgrades. Expertise in Innovation: Play an expert role in investment projects, participating in testing and validation, identifying opportunities for more efficient processes. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, fostering a mindset of innovation and optimization. Promote good spirit in the work environment. Backup NPI Manager during holidays and lead separately agreed meetings during this time. Experience and skills desired: Recent graduate with a degree in Engineering or a related field. Basic understanding of electronics and related principles. Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to create and modify technical drawings. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data, create reports, and use basic formulas. Previous experience in a similar role, particularly involving validation, test preparation, item release for production, and analysis of test results, is highly desirable. Prior experience in the label industry will be considered a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Fluency in both English and Italian (written and spoken). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
