Engineering DirectorCustomised solutions for explosive atmosphereAbout Our ClientA specialized manufacturer providing explosion protection products and customized electrical equipment solutions for industrial environments, with a strong international presenceJob DescriptionThe Engineering Director will oversee all aspects of company's design and engineering operations, ensuring that the department delivers outstanding product and service to both internal and external stakeholders.

This role involves leading and managing two dedicated teams focused on: * Quotation preparation, ensuring the preparation of detailed and accurate quotations that are both technically sound and commercially viable; * Solution design, ensuring the development of manufacturable solutions that fully comply with relevant regulation (ATEX and IECEx) and meet customer's needs and company's target profitability targets.

This role encompasses a broad mission, focusing on both present and future objectives: * Managing and optimising current engineering operations, to ensure that proposals are competitive and delivered with a fast response time and that manufacturing projects are accurate and suitable for construction by the company's production team or external subcontractors; * Promoting and driving engineering-related projects and initiatives to future-proof the company's engineering operations, focusing on human capital development, improving staff skills, and enhancing processes and methods. The Successful Applicant* In-depth knowledge of the low voltage directive, the ATEX directive and IECEx standards, to ensure compliance and safety of every product and solution engineered and produced by the company.

* Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, to guide and support the team in designing systems for hazardous areas.

* Extensive knowledge of 3D modelling and CAD/CAM technology, to lead strategic projects aimed at transforming the organisation.

* Experience in serving EPC and OEM clients.

This includes conceiving and quoting solutions, to ensuring their manufacturability, assisting production, and providing final technical documentation.

* Proficiency in English language.
