About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Director Engineering, Italy to lead our team of Field Applications Managers and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) in Italy. You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with key customers and stakeholders to identify and win business opportunities.
You will work closely with other departments such as sales and marketing, to ensure that the company's engineering capabilities are effectively integrated into the overall business strategies. The Engineering Organization within AGC EMEA is the extended technical and applications organization for the suppliers on our line card, driving the design-in process at customers on their behalf.

This position reports into the Vice President of Engineering, EMEAWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Guide, manage and develop a team of Field Application Managers and Field Application Engineers (FAEs). Set, monitor, and ensure achievement of performance KPIs related to demand creation such as pipeline creation, design wins and design win revenue. Define, review, and adjust demand creation related processes such as customer tiering, top opportunity processes and design-to-revenue execution. Develop and execute strategies to increase the value we provide to our customers, suppliers, and partners. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at customers, suppliers, and industry experts. Anticipate and identify relevant technology trends. Work closely with the Italy Sales organization to ensure tight alignment in terms of customer and supplier strategies. Drive yourself or be part in EMEA-wide engineering activities and projects. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: Degree or equivalent, preferably in Electronics or Computer Science. A minimum of 10 years of job-related experience, in managing FAE, business development and/ or engineering teams, and demonstration to be a proven talent for leading. Consistency in delivering strong results. Great interpersonal skills and a track record of effectively and successfully engaging at C level, with customers, partners and internally. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, a structured problem-solving approach, high capacity to take calculated risks.
Communication and presentation skills as expected at director level. Prepared to travel, to attend external and internal meetings, in Italy and abroad. Fluency in Italian and English.
