Position Overview:The Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers and technical staff in the development, improvement, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and equipment. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency, as well as meeting cost targets. The Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, and other departments to drive innovation, optimize production processes, and support company growth objectives.
Essential Job Functions:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity. Set performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement training programs to build a high-performing engineering team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and innovation within the engineering department. Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects, including new equipment installation, process improvements, and facility upgrades. Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production capacity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance) to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with company goals. Ensure the reliability, safety, and compliance of all engineering activities, maintaining adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations. Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and recommendations to senior management. Perform other duties as assigned within your scope of responsibilities. Who You Are:Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field); Master's degree or MBA is a plus. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within an engineering department. Strong background in process improvement and project management. Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and project management tools. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with safety standards and industrial regulations (e. g. , OSHA, ISO, etc. ). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Possess high professional ethics, good judgment, and ability to make timely decisions. Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred. Availability for travel: Visa required.
