NoOffer DescriptionThe research activity will be carried out in the field of English language, translation and linguistics and includes the metalinguistic analysis of the English language, from a theoretical and applied, synchronic, diachronic and contrastive perspective, in its dimensions of sociolinguistic variation and of cognitive nature.

It will focus on the phonetic and phonological, morphological, syntactic, lexical, semantic, pragmatic, textual, discursive, stylistic and semiotic components of the English language in the different registers and contexts of use of written, spoken and multimodal communication, in specialized uses, in situations of plurilingualism and intercultural communication.

It will also include studies on the acquisition and learning of the English language, on linguistic mediation and those aimed at translation and linguistic reflection.
