As a Regional Environmental Compliance Program Manager , you will manage the full spectrum of regulatory environmental requirements, including Federal, State, and local regulations with emphasis on air, water, waste management, and water quality permitting.
You will ensure Microsoft data centers remain in full compliance, communicate these requirements to stakeholders and senior management, and provide training online and/or in person.

You will work independently in-region and represent Microsoft to our external and internal customers.

This position requires you to work on location, in one of our data centers in the EMEA region, with occasional travel to other locations.

As a Regional Environmental Compliance Program Manager , you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 6+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of combined experience in environmental permitting and compliance management in EMEA.
Experience with Enhesa, Regscan, EIA Tracker, Enablon, Intelex or similar tools.
Responsibilities: Manage environmental compliance program for operating sites and handover of construction projects to operations.
Support operations personnel in completing regulatory obligations and addressing permit requirements.
Interact with facility personnel, company management, legal counsel, environmental sustainability team, and other relevant internal stakeholders to communicate environmental requirements, identify compliance issues, act as a technical resource, and coordinate on key initiatives.
Define and implement necessary training for facility operations personnel for managing environmental issues.
Support site incident investigations.
Interact with regulatory agency personnel on major environmental issues.
Monitor development of legislative changes in the EMEA region, analyze potential impacts on operations, and provide updates to the site personnel.
