**Your Impact**:
Jacobs is looking for an **Environmental Permitting & Compliance Consultant**, to support in the development of complex and exciting projects for a range of diverse client sectors, such as Advances Facilities, Industrial, Real Estate, Renewable Energies, specifically in Germany, Austria and at European level.
By joining Jacobs you'll be able to develop and cover a key role, with the opportunity to coordinate the environmental permitting & compliance practice, working in a synergic cooperation with Jacobs engineering and other disciplines, with the following responsibilities:
- Support activities related to the development of whole life cycle of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) services, including scope development, budget and schedule preparation, subcontractor coordination, site visits, reporting
- Conduct compliance audits and due diligence assessments
- Develop or coordinate environmental studies, including, but not limited to, EIA, specialistic landscape, air modelling, biodiversity and other assessments
- Guide our clients and the engineering team through the permitting process associated to the execution of projects, starting from data collection and evaluation, through the preparation of technical and administrative documentation and keeping relationship with the involved authorities, until obtainment of required permits
- Communicate frequently, verbally and in writing, with the Customer as well as with a diverse team of professionals, including Project Managers, engineers, and various internal and external specialists to achieve our clients' goals
- Support Jacobs EHS International team and services
**Here's What You'll Need**: Here's What You'll Need**:
- Bachelor degree in Environmental, Chemical or equivalent Engineering, or Environmental Sciences
- 5+ years of experience in related to environmental permitting and compliance projects, preferably for international private clients
- Proficiency in German and English languages; knowledge of other European languages could be an asset
- Good knowledge of main EHS regulation (at EU, Germany and Austria level) and sustainability principles
- Problem solving attitude
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently
- Good communication skills and adaptability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary & geographically disperse teams
- Mindset open to innovation, digitalization, visual communication
