**The Role**:
**General task/goal of the position
Reporting directly to the Industrial Director, the Environmental Sustainability Manager leads the activities related to environmental sustainability for one of Company's division, in Italy and abroad.
- He/she owns projects with sustainability impacts on environment, seeking the reduction of CO2 footprint, via optimized energy consumption, reducing wastes, from fast win projects to long term strategy, integrating product development flows with eco-sustainable attributes.
- The ES Manager analyzes and collects the best practices of the HSE structures in Italy and abroad and proposes improvement actions aimed at the general improvement of health and safety conditions.
- He/She coordinates the project activity based on the projects approved by the management teams.
- The ES Manager is responsible for the achievement, maintenance and updating of certifications including product sustainability.
**Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the achievement, maintenance and updating of certifications including product sustainability;
- Define, propose and execute eco-sustainable projects or work as a resource to manage eco-sustainable work packages integrated into other existing projects (typically process improvement or product development and evolution of production technologies/equipment in the direction of neutral/negative CO2 emission);
- Align environmental sustainability KPIs between the two plants supporting the two organizations to achieve relevant targets defined at management level;
- Support Finance team to calculate, analyze and monitor environmental sustainability;
- Collaborating with Marketing, Commercial and CS teams, or even directly with customers, to satisfy their needs on environmental sustainability and pursue any new opportunity which can add value or improve the environmental impact of our production processes;
- Being active part of the Team, as key referent for the environmental sustainability topics (water, waste, energy);
- Analyze, propose and create circular economy opportunities for the waste, extending product and scrap life cycles;
- Undertaking assessments to ascertain the organization's sustainability performance;
- Advising on the latest low/zero/negative carbon technologies;
- Propose and lead eco-sustainable projects, communicating plans to project teams and steering committee;
- Continuous auditing to ensure all measures are implemented and supporting departments to make necessary changes;
- Regular interface (with a predefined frequency) with the HSE Managers to identify local best practices and propose improvement and alignment projects between the plants on the general conditions of health and safety in compliance with local laws.

Sustainability KPIs (such as CO2 generation, energy consumption and waste scrap, water consumption reduction).

**The Requirements**:
Education
- Master's degree in Natural Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering and experience in Environmental and Sustainability Management or similar.
Work Experience
- At least 4/5 years gained in Environmental Sustainability role field in industrial companies.
Additional/Position Specific Knowledge
- Deep knowledge and experience about sustainability certifications (RedCert, ISCC, GRS or similar)
- Expertise on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment - ISO 14044:2006).
- Proven experience in managing complex projects.
- Excellent knowledge of English language.
- Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate at different professional levels and with people with diverse backgrounds).
- Reliability and entrepreneurship.
- Ability to identify strategic opportunities.
