As an Engineer R&D Essential Oils in Caronno Pertusella (Milan) you will conduct flavor application and provide technical expertise to lead and establish successful cooperation with customers, according to our goals and EH&S policies.
Reporting to the Site Operations Head, you will: Be an expert of Essential oils to perform formulation and manage the adjustments due to raw material variation or shortages, working with teams to ensure orders are delivered on time for customers. Assist QC with rectifications and rework instructions on batches that are out of specifications. Advise suitability of raw materials for GFI blends to QC when needed. Complete daily brief-related tasks and apply knowledge during the flavor selection, evaluation and application development. Lead evaluations of flavors in food applications for briefs, research projects and portfolio evaluations. Select flavors for projects according to specified requirements (i. e. customer, regulatory, legislation, cost) and suggest improvements for the most common applications. Identify appropriate flavor delivery systems and technologies for customer projects in specific applications. Knowledge sharing and expertise: Be a technical expert and advisor to marketing, sales, flavor creation, and customers for specific applications. Coach, train, and motivate technicians and technologists. Maintain relationships with a limited number of customers; able to gain their trust and respect. Data maintenance: Maintain the data for the Ingredient portfolio GFI through evaluation in finished product and capture of profiles. Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment observing EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines. Academic Background: B. S. or Master's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or Ph. D. in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology.
Professional Experience: With B. S. : minimum 7 - 9 years of experience in a food/flavor applications lab, production, or related area. With Master's Degree: minimum 4 - 6 years of experience in a food/flavor applications lab, production, or related area. With Ph.
