PositionThe Battery Energy Storage market is booming, and NHOA Energy is positioning itself to become a leader in the market.
Declining lithium-ion battery prices, increasing solar PV and wind farm installations, and electric vehicle development are driving this market.
This role drives effective NHOA Energy project delivery in EMEA, focusing primarily on Italy, but with opportunities in other European countries.
We seek a person passionately committed to a sustainable energy future who will support the business development team in converting business opportunities and actively lead the delivery of large-scale battery energy storage projects once in execution.
As Project Manager, you will be the primary contact for the client regarding overall operations and work performance.
You will maintain close liaison with counterparts in the Project Team and identify problem areas in time to secure corrective actions without affecting the project budget or schedule.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager, familiar with both Supply and full EPC contracts, industry general practices and technologies, with a proven record of planning and managing large-scale projects on time and within budget.
You will be based in Italy and available to travel up to 50% of your time to project sites, based on project needs.
Availability to be assigned to project execution outside of Italy (Europe) and related travel needs is required.
Tasks and DutiesServe as point-of-contact for the Client during project execution and maintain excellent customer relationships;Manage the Project Team, including the four work packages (Design and Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning), applying Project Management best practices and the NHOA Project Management Framework;Ensure tasks and assigned human resources are well-scheduled and progress as planned;Ensure the project is completed successfully, meeting required time, budget, quality, and project specifications;Prepare, update, and report project management plans, cost budgets, project schedules, project receivables, and contract completion milestones.
Provide progress reports and other status updates to clients and management as required;Promote safety awareness and safe performance among all team members, committing to overall responsibility for Safety, Health, and Environment compliance to the Contract;Supervise contract, risks, and QHSE management of the project;Support the business development team during the tendering process, ensuring the project is set up for delivery success. RequirementsYour Background: 5 - 10 years of experience in industry or energy project management with a track record of success in EPC projects, favoring candidates with previous experience in renewables (experience in energy storage systems will be viewed favorably);Experience in areas such as coordination of large EPC projects, construction laws, labour laws, health and safety regulations, grid codes, contract negotiation, project control and finance, scheduling, progress measurement, risk assessment, change management, estimating processes, and planning;Knowledge of Italian Grid Code (Allegato A79 of Terna), other European national grid codes, and local electricity market structures is a plus;A proven knowledge of health and safety, specifically Italian Legislative Decree no.
81/08;Knowledge of the building permit process and related administrative documentation in Italy;Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6;Full proficiency (spoken and written) in Italian or Italian as a mother tongue;Fluent (spoken and written) in English;Fluent (spoken and written) in any other language besides Italian and English is a plus;Professional Membership such as PMP certification is a plus.
