operates one of the most modern blade factories in the world, building blades for both on- and offshore wind turbines.

To strengthen our tactical capabilities, we are looking for a student in the area of "Maintenance and Equipment Engineering. "
The department is responsible for the entire maintenance of the production lines and the production equipment at the Vestas Blades Italia production plant in Taranto and is a key stakeholder for the introduction of new machinery into the plant.
As an intern, you will closely work with our equipment engineers, the maintenance operation team, and various project and factory stakeholders.
The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication are key.
Responsibilities: You will work as an intern at a technical level in a role that reflects how your daily work will look after you graduate.
The nature of the work is relevant to the engineering education and consists of both development-oriented tasks and routine tasks.
You will participate in our regular work processes and become an essential part of everyday life.
Tasks may relate to the operation and maintenance of systems as well as the optimization of processes in various technical systems.
Additionally, you may assist with planning tasks, management, etc. , with a focus on optimization, operation, safety, and the environment.
You will learn about:
Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems of production equipment used in the manufacturing of wind turbine bladesThe introduction process of new production equipment during a technology transfer projectTroubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of production equipmentEnsuring a safe work environment by complying with Vestas' HSE (Health & Safety Environment) requirementsAd hoc tasks in different departments across Vestas' value chainQualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electronic preferred), Master's Degree will also be valued. Technically skilled in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulicsAbility to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics of complex equipmentAbility to read and understand complex equipment use and maintenance manuals. Very good use of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPointGood English knowledge (both written and oral)Use of Autocad(R) and SIMATIC STEP 7(R) (TIA Portal) is beneficialEnthusiasm to familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility in technical fields. Good organizational skills, high flexibility, and willingness to performAbility to work efficientlyStructured and able to set priorities - even when things get hectic.
