Job Title: Equipment Operator CDL-A, CDL-B (Required)

Salary: $19. 00 to $22. 00 Hour

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OFF

Requirements: Must complete Background and Drug ScreeningMust have a valid state of Florida Driver's LicenseMust read, write, and speak EnglishJob Responsibilities: The Equipment Operator drives or operates trucks, tractors, and other equipment where driving and maneuvering the vehicle constitutes the majority of the work required to complete tasks for various maintenance, upkeep, and/or construction projects. The equipment in this classification does not involve the operation of additional mechanisms other than those that are simple and routine, requiring little extra dexterity and finesse.

Key duties include:

Driving single, tandem, and tri-axle dump trucks or brush trucks to transport and haul materials between original and final destinations for use in maintenance and construction projects. Positioning the vehicle to allow for the most efficient and effective loading or dumping of materials. Securing all doors, gates, and fasteners to prevent spillage or loss of load. Operating the dumping mechanism to dump materials at appropriate locations. Operating the truck and dumping mechanism simultaneously to spread materials along prescribed paths to required specifications. Restriction: May not operate Heavy Crane equipment.
