Eu Commercial Finance Analyst
The Commercial Finance Analyst is supporting financial activity related to sales marginality in the region.
The position will partner with the European Commercial Team to grant a proper planning and monitoring of margins and the implementations of actions to continuously optimize the performance and the profitability of the Company.
The other main area of that role is to perform all duties associated with Product Costing activities.
The Commercial Finance Analyst partners with Sales personnel to ensure:
- Timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting
- Providing financial analysis to be consolidated in the global overview
- Preparation of commercial data tools analyzing margins, pricing and costs developments and other KPIs in order to report out analytical findings and to support the definition of actions to improve business results.
- Definition of forecast and budget in terms of volume and margin
- Support to Sales Account Managers in preparing pricing discussions
- Tracking and valuation of Commercial Targets and Opportunities
- Performing ad-hoc analysis as needed
**Product Costing related activities include**:
- Maintenance and continuous review of the product costing system in order to improve accuracy
- Perform Moving Average (MAV) reviews throughout the month; notify respective areas when corrections are required (Procurement/AP/Vendor Admin for Purchase Info Record updates)
- Perform costing and finance activities for material master product workflow requests
- Maintain and execute cost runs
The position support business decisions by providing analytics and insights and supporting data input requirements for management and collaborates with the Global FP&A Team, Regional VP of Sales, Sales Account Managers and Corporate Controllers.
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Qualifications
- Accounting and/or Finance Degree
- 3-5 years experience in financial reporting, including management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- English fluency
- Strong understanding of cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
(Chemical manufacturing background a plus.
)
- Strong, established financial analysis skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent Analytical skills, ability to read and translate data into information
- Self-starter with ability to complete projects start-to-finish
- Must be trustworthy with confidential information
- Strong communication skills; must be able to work effectively with peers and all levels of Company management
- Team player interact effectively with cross functional teams
- Proactive and well organized
- Consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling capabilities (Filters, Pivots, Formulas, Graphs, Calculated Fields);
- Experience with SAP or other ERP
