About the Role

This is a new role for the EU markets, born out of the need to professionalise the business and implement improvements in all areas of finance.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Drive professionalisation of the EU businesses, influencing stakeholders from SLT down, to move away from legacy WoW and towards best practice

- Design roles & responsibilities for EU controlling team

- Reduce EU month end down from 15 to 5 working days

- Seek to extract max value from £200k NetSuite investment by driving continual improvements in data accuracy, reporting & processes

- Be superuser & point-of-reference for NetSuite system and assist rollout to EU

- Refine standard costing configurations and support rollout to EU

- Manage the workload and professional development for 2 direct reports

- Seek cost & labour efficiencies within finance through automation and 3rd party outsourcing

- Manage credit control, aged debtor listing and build customer credit score framework on NetSuite ERP

- Advise on and assist management of EU working capital

- Manage preparation of statutory accounts, tax computations and other regulatory requirements

- Become voice of finance for EU businesses

- Liaise with external 3rd parties, including solicitors, accountants and other consultants

- Lay foundations for creation of commercial finance function, starting with management reporting and extending to business partnering & commercial analysis

**Qualifications/Experience

**Essential**:

- ACA or ACCA

- Experience working in manufacturing business

- Experience in building standard costing systems and reports

- Experience in change management through new processes

**Desirable**:

- Industry experience from furniture design/manufacture, architectural practice, construction or large-scale project management
