Job Description
Visual Merchandiser
Leading with responsibility for all the VM aspect of the store. The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for delivering brand vision and maintenance of exceptional VM standards, supporting achievement of store KPI's and sales targets. The Visual Merchandiser is also responsible for building and leading a team, that is dedicated to driving the business
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
People
- Inspire, lead and coach the team to create a culture of performance delivery and accountability
- Support, implement and provide follow-up for VM training and onboarding for new joiners
- Ensure image and grooming standards are aligned with brand policy
- Support and train Jet Set Ambassadors in relevant visual guidelines, brand vision, floorset and visual standards
- Practice and role model the company behaviors, ensuring effective use of the behavior tool kit
Service
- Maintain floor presence leading by example
- Design appealing merchandise displays to attract visitors to the store.
- Ensure all Jet Set Ambassadors wardrobing is current and to brand image
- Build and maintain good communication with District Manager and members of corporate office, mall office, retail partners and other stores, collaborating and influencing to drive performance across the district
Sales
- Analyze reports, and develop action plans to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
- Track and communicate business results and opportunities, driving sales and product needs
- Collaborate with store management in financial analysis and KPI's to influence product placement
Operations
- Receive and communicate monthly Floor Set and Floor Set Guide to store team
- Install monthly Floor Set with store management, supported by DVM
- Ensure to implement take 5 VM excellence guideline to build cohesive and structured VM display during full price and sale period
- Ensure products display according to the company image standards and current guidelines and change looks for mannequins with following the look of the month
- Collaborate with store management on rotations and implementation of the store zonings for each product category, proposing alternative in case of product shortage and validating the zoning with the merchandising team
- Liaise with DVM on stock levels and placement throughout floor life of product - Collaborate with DVM to implement and maintain all visual merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective strategies
- Confirm standards to Daily VM Checklist
- Participation in regional new store openings
- Providing additional support to neighboring cluster of stores according to business needs
- Ensure all the Company Communication Platforms are used effectively and relevant actions taken.
- Lead and coach the teams to ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, and all products are displayed with the right price
Job Requirements:
- Relevant proven retail and VM experience with a fast-paced retailer
- Ability to work across all levels of the business to drive commercial success.
- Strong creative hand with ability to research and communicate key ideas to drive visual standards.
- Technology proficient, knowledge and use of leveraging technology to drive sales and customer experience.
- Excellent knowledge of luxury brands and trend awareness
- Proven record of various creative projects and enjoy working as part of a fast-paced environment.
- An organized, hands-on VM, you'll be in your element in a fast-paced and pressurized retail environment.
- Commercial awareness & influencing skills to develop VM standards across stores
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and follow-up skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Retail Math, KPIs and Microsoft Office
- Fluent English
