**All about the role**:
For our Business Area Europe Food Preservation organizations, we are looking for an open - minded, driven and proactive automation and Industry 4. 0 Transformation engineer passionate about all aspects of the Industrial Internet of Things domain and digital transformation in manufacturing.
In this role you will cooperate closely with key stakeholders in our manufacturing sites and the internal and external project teams around the world to bring all the benefits of data driven manufacturing to our factories.
You will be reporting operationally to the Group Manufacturing Engineering, Food Preservation Director Business Area Europe, and functionally to the Global OT Infrastructure Lead.
**What you'll do**:
- Drive assigned Manufacturing Engineering Projects and new Product Industrialization Projects.
- Representing GME in the New Product Introduction Projects.
- Liasson between GME and Digital Transformation group.
- Pro-actively communicate new standards and best practices around ME standards to the BA project leads and suppliers.
- Supporting BA / Local ME and IT & Digital teams in new projects (greenfield).
- Support factory metrics of Quality/Cost/Delivery.
- Support production feasibility analysis in virtual environments and ensure implementation of digital manufacturing solution.
- Support on the development of new Architectures according "Ready for Automation"
- Digital mindset Design, troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve problems related to OT and equipment connectivity implementations.
- Develop/analyze various integration scenarios, define and manage BA PLC & HMI based on global standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with global OT standards around PLC, HMI, equipment connectivity and cybersecurity in all new equipment.
- Possess good documentation skills to maintain updated references and training materials.
**Qualifications**:
- University Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering or Computer Sciences or equivalent by experience.
- +5 years of experience as controls engineer integrator:
- PLC/HMI programing and integration.
- Experience with SIEMENS PLC programming
- Experience with other PLC brands such as Allen Bradley is an advantage.
- Experience with SOW's and equipment technical specifications.
- Familiarity with Siemens S7-300, S7-400 and 1500 PLC's, Hands on with Simatic Manager, TIA Portal Step 7 Professional and WinCC Comfort/Advanced software.
- Knowledge of Control system communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, AS-I, Ethernet, DeviceNet).
- Background in project management from inception trough production.
- Strong work ethic and transparency.
Positive, proactive attitude with a Strong Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Self-starter who can work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Great communicator, both verbal and written.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Up to 50% international and domestic travel is required.
**The following demonstrated experience is a plus**:
- OPC Kepware.
- Experience with computer networks and various IT technologies
- Experience on Allen Bradly Micro Logic, SLC-5, PLC-5, Control Logic, Compact Logic and Guard Logic PLC's
- Experience on ControlNet, DH+
- Experience on Siemens S5
- Enhanced knowledge of IIoT relevant communication protocols: OPC UA (Protocol & Data Modelling), MQTT, and HTTP / REST
**Where you'll be**:
You'll be based in an international context in the central office for Food Preservation in Susegana, participating in Manufacturing Engineering projects involving Electrolux Plants of Europe for household refrigerators, only 1 hour distance from Venice, where we are undergoing multimillion industry 4. 0 investment.
Here you will interact with different functions of the organization such as Quality, Maintenance, R&D, Production, and Supply Chain with the common goal to create the refrigeration of the future.
