**Job Description**:

Position Summary

Product Stewardship (PS) Specialist will work under the supervision of the Product Stewardship Manager - Europe.

The purpose of this position is to help ensure the safe management and assessment of CMC products as well as compliance with regional chemical control laws and regulations.

Failure to achieve results and crucial objectives will have profound impact on continuity of operations, company image and will result in expenditure of meaningful resources to resolve.

Principal

**Responsibilities**:

Support CMC's SDS management program in Europe including authoring (i. e.

GHS Classification) of new SDS's; updating existing SDS's due to regulatory changes, etc.

; lead SDS translation activities; and CMC's SDS Management System.

Ensure compliance to applicable EHS/PS regulations in Europe.

Provide support for CMC's New Product Introduction process to ensure EHS aspects of new products are identified, assessed and effectively handled thru the applicable product development stages.

Handle information and content for product labels including GHS classification and content as well as Dangerous Goods labeling requirements.

Ensure compliance with Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements including monitoring of global adoption; assessing impact to CMC; and leading SDS and label requirements.

Effectively handle regulatory changes or impacts to CMC's SDS program globally, with a focus on European countries and the United Kingdom.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health; Environmental Health, Toxicology, Chemistry or other science-related field of study.

Experience- 3 to 5 years in Product Stewardship related program management. -

- Experience with chemical management regulations: EU REACH, UK REACH, GHS (Globally), Dangerous Goods, explosive precursors, drug precursors, dual use technologies, etc. - Familiarity with global chemical control laws for France, Italy, Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom and other European countries. - Basic familiarity with ISO14001 and ISO45001 preferred.

Skills and Abilities / Core Proficiencies

List the level of skills and abilities required to perform the job satisfactorily- Behavioral - Self advised, ability to work with limited supervision, good written and oral communication skills.

You will maintain integrity and flexibility while working to meet deadlines and taking care of ambiguous situations, and be able to develop proven working relationships with internal and external partners.

Strong interpersonal skills required.

Ability to establish timelines and meet deadlines is needed.

Strong negotiation and persuasion/influence skills required. -

- Good knowledge of Singapore environmental, occupational safety and health regulations. - Experience in working on Safety Data Authorization software (preferably 3E Generate.
