WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are currently seeking a Europe Retail Accountant that will assist and support the Europe Retail Finance Team in performing the following activities:
Provide support in the management of the assigned European companies' bookkeeping: check figures, postings and documents for accuracy
Assist in the cash reconciliations and in the daily bank account management
Follow all administrative/ operational day by day activities related to legal entities under his/ her responsibility
Collaborate with the local accounting and tax consultant firms for the local Statutory Accounts
Support Store Network for the assigned companies (i. e.
administrative queries, support for specific compliance matters, etc)
Prepare payment accruals and assist in month-end closing
Work with internal stakeholders to process intercompany transactions
Ensure that adequate processes and internal controls are implemented and maintained
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Background in Economics
2/3+ years of relevant experience
Strong planning and organizational skills
Excellent analytical skills and a critical mindset, ensuring effective performance and meeting deadlines
Good team player attitude and excellent communication skills
Work knowledge of MS Office, previous experience with SAP is an advantage
Fluent in English, knowledge of German will be a plus.
