**Job Description**:
- Conduct a full audit and evaluate the current state of IT in our European Retail Stores
- Make recommendations on the resources and tools needed to ensure all stores are up to standard
- Work with US Colleagues on the deployment in Europe of Global standards in:
- Selection of IT industry partners
- Evaluation and grading of primary IT suppliers with a periodic business review process
- Cabling for new store deployments and cabling vendor selection
- Development of standard and rapidly deployable system and network builds
- Development and delivery of reports on Retail IT performance
- Manage the European Retail IT Technician and work with them on all appropriate areas of responsibility
- Ensure local market compliance and adjustments to global standards where required.
It is anticipated however that 95% of our solutions will be in line with the US
- Work with in-market resources (IT or otherwise) for scenarios where local knowledge or translation (for example with service providers) is required
- Work and communicate with Retail Store Mangers to understand their challenges, explain why we work in the ways we do, and overall make them wildly successful
- Work closely with the Euro Retail Operations team to deliver "IT as a service"
- Work closely with the Ascend Managers around Europe to deliver simple and scalable Frontline Support solutions for all issues IT related
- Work on tools and resources to support European Retail Stores 24/7
- Installation and maintenance of Meraki systems and audio systems for stores
- Assistance with telecom management in stores
- Deploy and support IT hardware, retail peripherals, and installation of Ascend RMS
- Work with 3rd parties for services such as footfall counters, CCTV, etc. .
- Oversight of data security and IT assessments for stores, including staff training to minimize exposure to risks such as phishing and other attacks
- Manage the annual IT hardware refresh schedule
- Assist in the creation of a Retail IT budget for travel, hardware and telecom
**Requirements**:
- Bilingual in English and at least one other key European Language
- 5 years of experience in IT with 2 years in a management role
- European-wide travel will be required
- Strong Understanding of core networking principles and standards
- In depth knowledge of Windows operating system functionality
- Basic understanding of administering an Office 365 environment
- Basic understanding of imaging principles
- Practical experience in building an IT budget
- Strong leadership, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of budget process and terminology
- Ability to make sound business decisions quickly and extract facts out of emotional situations
Preferred:
- 3 years experience supporting a retail organization
- Basic understanding of PCI compliance and security
- Additional European languages are a bonus, but not essential
