The experience we are actively looking for:
5 to 10+ years of experience in executing capital construction projects in industrial environments.
Fluent in Bosnian, with proficiency in technical English.
Degree in engineering (electro-mechanical, civil, or related).
Knowledge of steel and electro-mechanical works, including inspection and testing.
Strong expertise in HSE regulations and construction safety (LOTO, permits, inspections).
Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office.
AutoCAD and SAP knowledge is a plus.
Experience with industrial equipment such as vertical kilns, stone processing, or conveying systems is a plus.
The scope of this intrapreneurial project is ensuring the successful execution of a critical industrial upgrade project, including construction, commissioning, and operational transition.
The Key responsibilities expected from our consultant are:
Lead the construction and commissioning activities to ensure the efficient execution of work by appointed suppliers and contractors, facilitating a smooth operational start-up.
This includes:Overseeing construction and commissioning management Implementing quality control measures Managing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards Conducting inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance Controlling project schedules and milestones Monitoring quantity surveying and cost management Providing administrative support and reporting to the project leader Ensuring seamless coordination with operational teams Key Responsibilities: Prepare and execute the construction and commissioning plan, including site layout, risk assessment, and master scheduling with key milestones and critical path analysis.
Facilitate coordination and communication between all project stakeholders, both internal (process & technologies, operations, maintenance, quality, HSE, procurement) and external (engineering offices, suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies).
Ensure site technical coordination across disciplines, reviewing supplier/contractor documentation, managing interface issues, and resolving conflicts.
Verify the conformity of work performed with the design specifications and commissioning protocols.
Document and track all remarks, ensuring corrective actions are followed up and successfully closed.
Authorize the commencement of subsequent project activities.
Review and validate as-built drawings and final supplier/contractor documentation, including spare parts lists.
Collect and verify project-specific and contractor/supplier HSE plans.
Ensure HSE compliance at the highest standards by:Implementing HSE plans for projects and contractors/suppliers Maintaining site registers and coordination logs Conducting site inductions for workers and visitors Managing work permits and LOTO procedures Overseeing communication, signage, and safety inspections Supporting incident investigations and analysis Enforcing disciplinary actions in collaboration with the project leader Monitor site organization and cleanliness to maintain safety and operational efficiency.
Supervise and track approvals required from regulatory authorities, legal bodies, notified organizations, and insurance inspectors.
Oversee and coordinate the progress of acceptance certificates issued by engineering offices and other relevant entities.
Prepare, track, and update the weekly project schedule, identifying and implementing corrective actions where needed.
Monitor and report on project progress, including deliveries, installed quantities, additional work requests, and timesheets.
Lead and document daily site instructions and weekly coordination meetings.
Prepare and issue monthly project status reports.
Plan and coordinate required operational shutdowns.
Organize and oversee contractor/supplier training for operational teams.
Ensure proper handover of technical equipment documentation to the maintenance department.
