Expert Team Lead Testing
Expert Team Lead Testing is part of the 'delivery' function of IT Lead in ING Bank under the CIO domain.
It is a role that is facing all the Tribes in ING Bank Italy.
The role is responsible for defining the Test Strategy Framework as well as leading, changing, tracking and progress of all testing activities performed by test experts and test engineers across all the Tribes in scope.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Test design, test execution management and reporting the in across the Tribes in scope
- Coordinate the performance test and security test though the budget and expertise in coordination with CISO
- Develop detailed test plan for major releases Together with the inputs from testing experts in Tribes
- Contribute and collaborate with the Release and Deploy Expert Team, Incidents and Reporting Expert Team, and Azure Dev Ops Expert Team to ensure smooth releases
- Analyze and recommend the IT Lead to take decision in Go No GO Ceremonies to go live with a release or not based on the testing data points
- Manage any 3rd party or contracting testing resource and will be responsible for the budget for the Test Factory and testing experts across the bank
- Change the CoE into a state of the art with an automation-based quality framework following the latest ING WoW (biz devops squads with quality assurance owned by them and the OPS Chapter)
- Stimulates the 'new' culture
- Acts as an agile role model
- Coaches' individual expert team members on agile/CI- mindset and -behavior, on expertise related skills and knowledge sharing
- Challenges CoE members in their way of working and their continuous improvements
- Organizational Development and Employee planning
- Identifies and stimulates the processing of organizational improvement opportunities
- Performs the PCB (Planning, Coaching, Appraisal) cycle with all his/her internal CoE members
- Discusses CoE progress in skills development and future demand with the IT Lead
- Ensures qualitative alignment between CoE members and relevant Product Owners' planned business value (Staffing)
- Performs long term employability planning
- Performs all other people management tasks, f. e.
recruitment, talent management, performance management, etc.
- Propagates vision and strategy to his/her CoE members in order to align goals
- Works with vendors and partners to drive change and delivery of testing
- Taking ownership of overall Release Quality across all Tribes and providing inputs and data to the release manager
- Advising the IT Lead on Go NO Go meetings if its is safe to go live with a release or not based on testing data points
- Challenging the Tribe Leads and ITALs on quality and making the tribe to improve further on quality in the spirit of continuous improvement

- Follows market developments in his/her area of expertise
- Aligns with other (IT) Chapter Leads and Tribe Leads and ITAL and Product Owners (PO)
- Negotiates with PO for capacity for automation in the sprint plan
**Requirements**:
- University degree in business or technology
- 5+ years' experience in the same role in a complex and international environment
- Proven experience in managing high performing teams
- Proven testing skills
- Defining test vision and test strategy
- Experience with (Acceptance) Test Driven Development (or BDD)
- Strong knowledge of technology, tools and process, in particular Cucumber and Selenium
- Proven Agile team experience with SCRUM or Kanban or XP
- Coaching skills
- Mentoring and training Business testing members in the field of testing
- Mentoring and training other Ops Engineers in the field of testing and automation
- Facilitation skills
- Coaching the chapter towrads change and new frameworks
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
